A Day of Prayer and Fasting

Heavenly Father, today I fast and pray for our Nation. What once was called, “One nation under God,” seems so far away from our founder’s intentions. The boldly printed phrase on our money, “In God We Trust,” stands as a grim reminder of what we were–of what we might have been! Father, hear our prayers. Give those You love a new sense of Your Spirit and Your presence with us. Build our faith for the difficulties ahead, and remind us that even destruction like we’ve seen in the last few months will ultimately be used for Your glory instead of Satan’s gain. Rekindle the fire we once felt for You Lord, and forgive us our sins as we humbly seek Your face in a spirit of repentance and of a sincere desire for communion with You. Lord, this day, may the future of our nation be changed as You will. May Your Name once again be welcome in our halls of government, in our schools, and in our homes and businesses. Thank You for the sacrifice of Your Son, Lord. May His blood ever continue to grant us favor in Your presence.
“Hear my voice when I call, O LORD; be merciful to me and answer me. My heart says of you, ‘Seek his face!’ Your face, LORD, I will seek. Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior.” Psalm 27:7-9
In Christ,
