I watched this really sad show the other day about a baby that was born fatally flawed. Simply too weak to survive, it struggled for a few hours and then passed away in it’s mother’s arms. I don’t think anyone could watch a show like that and not be moved, and I’m no exception. Still, it made me think, are any of us any better off than that little child? No matter how strong we are today, weaker days will come. Even if we live to be old and gray (and I’m definitely getting the “gray” part going), we’ll eventually face death, no matter how it comes. Friends, we too were born fatally flawed. It came with the first sin, and we’ve all inherited it perfectly from our parents. Without the Blood of Christ substituting as payment, we’ll all pay for our sins eternally as well.
