A Cheerful Giver

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

Root-word-o-Rama… to help start your morning!

Our word “cheerful” comes from the Greek word meaning “hilarious” or “hilarity.” In other words, God doesn’t want anything you give grudgingly!

In contrast, the words “miser” and “misery” have the same root word.
