A Dull Ax

Have you ever heard the old saying, “The harder I work, the behinder I get!”? It seems like this little quip is quite appropriate these days, too! People are so busy keeping up with the Jones’ and climbing the corporate ladder that they often don’t find time for themselves… or for their Lord and Savior. I’m sure we all find ourselves a little too busy from time to time. Here’s some ancient wisdom passed down from our heavenly Father and penned by the wisest man ever–King Solomon:

“If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed…” Ecclesiastes 10:10

Whether thousands of years ago, or right here today, God’s words always ring true. We simply cannot afford NOT to spend time with the Lord. Why not sharpen that ax right now!

In Christ,
