There’s an old saying that goes something like this: “What you do speaks so loudly that what you say I cannot hear.” I believe this is most likely the number one tool of Satan when it comes to keeping people out of the kingdom of God. If I’ve learned anything about life from raising children, I can assure you my children are far more likely to do what they see me doing than they are of doing what I tell them to do. This plays especially true if I tell them to do one thing while I’m personally doing the opposite. No doubt the same principle is true when it comes to non-Christians who decide if they want anything to do with our Lord based entirely on our conduct. The more I grow as a Christian, the more I’m sure of this. It’s easier for me to keep someone out of the kingdom than it is for me to win them to it. Each of us must be ever vigilant–always remembering the freedom we have in Christ can quickly be used by the Enemy if we’re not careful. “They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. they are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.” Titus 1:16 In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com
