How many spiritual gifts do you have? Do you know what they are? Are you using them to serve the Saints? When we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive the Holy Spirit, the Bible says we each receive at least one spiritual gift. You know… teaching, service, compassion, etc. Many of us receive two, three, or even more gifts. It also says our heavenly Father expects us to use these gifts to further the kingdom of God. The parable of the talents in Matthew 25 paints a powerful picture of what is expected of us in this area. Check it out sometime — or just ponder what happened to this servant who had nothing to show for his “talents.”
“For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Jesus of Nazareth (Matthew 25:28-30)
