Can I tell you a secret? I’ve got secrets! Just like every other person, there are things that go on in my mind (and sometimes in my life) that I’d prefer people not find out about. As I’ve grown as a Christian though, I’ve found that keeping secrets is a lot harder than I ever thought. Quite frankly, they’re just too heavy to carry! They have an insidious way of eating away at your soul. The best thing I’ve found to do is take them to the Lord immediately, which is pretty simple since He knows all about them anyway! Then, I find a close brother in the Lord (or sometimes my wife) and I tell them in no uncertain terms about the ridiculous thing I’ve done. Since my “secrets” won’t be secrets forever anyway, it sure seems like the most refreshing way to go!
