Conformity!

Conform! Conform! Everybody seems to want everybody else to conform to their way of thinking and acting these days. Even folks who say they’re “liberal” seem to stop being so liberal if you stop conforming to what they think you should be! I used to think conformity was mandatory for people to get along… that everyone had to conform to the “norms” and patterns of life that were acceptable to everyone else. I left that thinking behind when I became a serious follower of Jesus Christ. Friends, “fitting-in” with the world is way over rated! Not only that, it’s sinful! That’s right… conforming to the world’s standards almost always requires abandoning God’s ways. Not only that, but just imagine if we all really did act and talk just alike! What an incredibly boring world this would be. If there’s anybody I want to be like, it’s my Lord and Savior. I know I’m far from being anywhere close to His likeness and all, but then again He’s not through working on me yet either! “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2 In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com

Students?

For years now I’ve been learning a little more about Jesus each and every day. I suppose I’ve learned more than the average person, but surely I’ll not understand all of His teachings while I’m in th
