Drop Dead!

In our modern culture, it seems the proper thing to do to anyone who wrongs you is get even. I was listening to a popular TV show one evening and noticed there actually was no plot at all–just one person cutting down another, and back and forth for thirty minutes! No wonder kids learn to back-talk their parents like never before. No wonder teachers can’t seem to get any respect in their classrooms. No wonder people think so little of life they are willing to shoot each other over a pair of tennis shoes. I believe every single one of these problems can be traced to one cause… We’ve forgotten our Maker! We’ve failed to teach our kids the Word of God, i.e., the Holy Bible. You know, the book that runs contrary to just about every thing you’ll hear in the world today. If that’s not the best evidence the Bible comes directly from God above, what is? Instead of getting even next time, how about trying some Biblical wisdom instead. When you are cursed, bless! (Matthew 5) Remember, Jesus washed the feet of Judas Iscariot even after Judas had betrayed Him.

“The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already prompted Judas Iscariot, son of Si to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.” John 13:2-5   In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er
