Encouragement?

Encouragement is an incredible thing! It can rejuvenate a tired body is a nanosecond. On some occasions, one simple word of encouragement can last an entire lifetime. Our heavenly Father knows how powerful it is and even commanded us to provide it to one another. Still, it seems like even the Church can be void of it. This week, consider giving a heartfelt “thank you” to someone close to you. No…. consider two or three. I think you’ll find it encourages you too. Let your heart meditate on these words of encouragement from an imprisoned Paul to his friend Philemon. Imagine how they made him feel as they were read in front of the congregation he led.

“I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints. I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints.” Philemon 1:4-7
