Often Biblical writers lament the fact that those who do evil seem to be doing well in life, while those who serve God faithfully seem to get the dregs. There’s no doubt Satan does appear to have a wonderful reward system in this life, but his rewards are never what they actually seemed to be when first advertised. What’s more, those who watch and think the “evildoers” seem to have all the fun may be focusing on the wrong thing. Keep your eyes on Jesus! Does it really matter what anyone else “appears” to get in life? Those things will soon pass away! The righteous will be rewarded by THEIR God… and the wicked and the demons they followed will be repaid as well.
“The look in their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves. Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds. Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done.” Isaiah 3:9-11
