I’ve heard numerous counselors, pastors, and priests explain how our image of God often mirrors our image of our earthly fathers. For a few of us that image may be very positive… but for others, it couldn’t be farther from the truth. As a father, I know I struggle endlessly in my battle to be a proper spiritual leader for my children. I often pray my children won’t get their image of God from my incredibly flawed efforts. Fortunately for us though, our heavenly Father gave us a Savior that knows exactly what we’re going through. Lean on Him and He’ll fill in the blanks!
Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:18
