Forget It!

We’re urged throughout the Bible to repent for our mistakes… and then to simply forget them! Isn’t it interesting how our enemy would have us remember every stumble. Constantly reminding us of our shortcomings! That’s one of his best plays. It takes up our mental energy and keeps us out of the game — making us ineffective soldiers in the ultimate struggle. Like the Apostle Paul, our goal should be just the opposite.

“Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do:  Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 3:13-14
