Getting Your Feet Wet!

Faith is an interesting and powerful thing. Jesus himself said that faith as small as a mustard seed was enough to cast a mountain into the sea with a word. I think you’d have to search far and wide to find a Christian who’d tell you faith is not important in the Christian walk. With all this being true, I still wonder how many folks could actually define faith without looking it up in their Bibles. Here’s one for you to consider:

“Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing.” Joshua 3:15-16a

Notice how even though God said he would “cut off” the water (Joshua 3:13), He still required the priests to get their feet wet before He would do it. Faith is stepping out on God’s promises — maybe even getting your feet wet — before He delivers. Friends, He’s never failed to deliver yet!

In Christ,
