If you start to ask people if they’re going to heaven when they die, you’ll get a “yes” a “no” or something in between. But if you start asking people why they think the way they do, you’ll get about a thousand different answers! “Well, I’ve been a pretty good person,” or “I believe everyone goes to heaven,” will be common answers. Unfortunately for most folks, if God’s Word is true, and I believe that it is, then most people will NOT wind up in heaven! Sad as it sounds, most people will never accept the fact they even need a Savior. And if that’s not bad enough, Satan has so numbed our minds that the Scriptures say only a portion of those who believe they are sinners will ever seek forgiveness. The fact is we are ALL sinners and we’ll continue to struggle with sin until the day we die. Our only hope is Jesus! Why Jesus? Because our sins separate us from God and Jesus is the only pure and perfect sacrifice ever presented to redeem us. “For just as through the disobedience of the one man [Adam] the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.” Romans 5:19 In Christ, PastorJimKilby@ Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com
