Happy New Year!

It’s New Years again! People will be working to get “back” into shape. The diet books will be selling like crazy, and not just a few will decide to get more serious about their relationship with God. If you’re at all interested in growing in knowledge and experience with Him, then a new year is as good a reason to get started as any. What you’ll need, however, is a lot more than a desire that can easily fade just like most workout regimes and diets will. You need to start with a genuine relationship with Christ. Go to Him in prayer; tell him what you’ve been up to and what you’ve not been up to. Accept His sacrifice for your sins and be made new! Just like any growing relationship, you’ll need to be honest with Him daily and you’ll need to spend a lot of time together. You’ll need to learn what it is He wants from you and begin to do it. May I suggest this would also be a good time of year to join a church, read through the New Testament, and consider how you might give sacrificially to His work.

“Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast – as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.” 1 Corinthians 5:7

In Christ,

Students?

For years now I’ve been learning a little more about Jesus each and every day. I suppose I’ve learned more than the average person, but surely I’ll not understand all of His teachings while I’m in th
