Happy Thanksgiving!

As my family and I celebrate Thanksgiving this year, we give thanks for all of you, and what God has chosen to do through this ministry. May we all continue to be grateful for His awesome grace! A friend left this acrostic on my desk sometime ago, and I would like to share it with you once again as Today’s “Thought4Today.” The first letter in each verse goes together to form the word, “THANKSGIVING”. THANKSGIVING Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. (Colossians 4:17) Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of god. (2 Corinthians 7:1) Add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness charity. (2 Peter 1:5-7) Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. (1 Timothy 4:14) Keep ourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (Jude 21) Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. (1 Peter 3:15) God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. (Hebrews 6:10) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. (John 15:7) Verily, verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that send me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24) In him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. (Acts 17:28) Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. (John 15:3) Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke 6:38) Source Unknown In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com

Before I became a Christian, I wanted nothing to do with Christianity or religion!  I just knew I’d have to stop doing all the “fun” things I was doing!  Controlled by the flesh, I had no concept thes

For years now I’ve been learning a little more about Jesus each and every day. I suppose I’ve learned more than the average person, but surely I’ll not understand all of His teachings while I’m in th
