As a Christian living in the United States of America, I’ve had a few occasions where people clearly took a disliking to me because of my faith. Still, I wonder if I’ve ever really been hated because of it? Nobody’s tried to kill me (that I know of) anyway! Have you ever been hated because of your faith in the Lord? Have you ever been excluded from a group or a party because you are “religious?” If you’ve been a Christian very long, something of that nature has surely happened to you. When it happened, what was your reaction? Mine would have probably been negative… and I would have been wrong! Just like always, the Scriptures exhort us to do pretty much the opposite of what the “flesh” would have us do. “Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. REJOICE IN THAT DAY and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets… Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.” Luke 6:22-26 (Emphasis mine) In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com
