Heart On A Sleeve

I think it’s safe to say our society today is consumed with physical beauty. All in all, I’d vote this has to be one of the most devastating things for our young people to deal with. Let’s face it, if you’re blessed with an aesthetically pleasing appearance, you’re probably going to be more popular with the “in crowd,” have more friends, etc. Not that that’s all good mind you! Still, for most of us, at some point we’re going to realize we’re never going to look like the latest “Cover Girl” or have the physique of Sylvester Stalone. Thank God that He doesn’t see us the way the world does. “But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not consider his appearance [Eliab] or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.'” 1 Samuel 6:7 I think you’ll find the more time you spend in your walk with Christ, the less you’ll look at the outward appearances of people. What’s in their hearts will become more evident to you… in fact, some people’s hearts are so beautiful, that’s about ALL you can see! In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com
