I’m sure there’s not a person in the world who hasn’t really messed up a few times. Lord knows I’m in that category. In fact, I’ve “blown it” in one way or another just about every day of my life. Who of us is perfect? Who of us can walk uprightly day-to-day and never have even a single thought that’s not in alignment with God’s perfect will? Nobody, that’s who! That’s the reason God gave us the law–or more descriptively stated, all those rules and commandments written in the Old Testament. He did it so we could prove to ourselves we need a Savior. He did it so we would have absolutely no doubt we’ve missed the mark. He did it to show His incredible love for us in a way that would make sense. Have you really blown it lately? Well, so have a lot of other people, and God’s arms are still open to every single one of them who repents and comes running home.
