In A Temple?

In the Old Testament, once God’s people had built and consecrated the tabernacle to Him, He sent a visible indicator of His presence to them–a cloud by day, and a cloud filled with fire by night. When they followed His ways and His teaching, He continued to reveal Himself and His desires to them day-by-day. God still wants us to know that He is with us, but since the death and resurrection of Christ prepared the way, He is now able to do that through His Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, for far too many would-be strong Christians, the filth of sin blocks our ability to perceive Him or to hear His voice. Simply wanting to feel His presence and feeling it are two different things! God wants us to know that He is with us more than we know–but just like with the Israelites, we must first build a tabernacle where He can show His presence. If it’s your desire to feel the presence of God in your life again, then remove the filth and consecrate your “temple” to Him. “Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.” Exodus 40:35 In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com
