Hate! Anger! Peeve! Rage! We’re commanded not to let the sun go down on our anger. We’re told that hatred is one of the acts of the sinful nature — not the fruits of the Spirit. We’re even told that revenge is not our business but God’s alone. What’s all this about? Why can’t we just give that “idiot” that did us wrong what they truly deserve? I believe it’s not so much what the other person deserves as it is what anger does to our bodies, or souls and our walk with Christ. In other words, it’s not what we eat that’s killing us… it’s what’s eating at us!
“You who tear yourself to pieces in your anger, is the earth to be abandoned for your sake?” Job 17:4a
If you’re carrying anger around in your heart, ask your heavenly Father right now to help you in your struggle… It was all finished on the cross of Calvary!
