“Little” Sins!

When God sent His chosen people into the land of Canaan, He warned them against being trapped into worshipping the gods of the people who lived there. In what seemed terribly rash, He told the Jews to put all the pagans to death. For various reasons they wound up letting some of them live. Later, those few who survived ended up doing just what God had warned the Jews about–they led them astray. Similarly, Christians today think we can handle our little sins. We estimate we can handle them–that they won’t get out of control. And as is generally the case, these “little” sins grow up and lead us away from our Lord. If you’re a born again child of God, the Spirit has already been warning you and convicting you of “little” sins. You know what they are. Now, put them to death before it’s too late! “and you shall not make a covenant with the people of this land, but you shall break down their altars. Yet you have disobeyed me. Why have you done this? Now therefore I tell you that I will not drive them out before you, they will be thorns in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you.” Judges 2:2-3 In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com
