Love of Money?

I recently had the misfortune to watch a couple of people who had been friends become enemies. Neither one of them wronged the other or anything like that, it just happened that one of them came into some money and the other person thought it should be shared (since they were friends and all). Of course, the one that didn’t get the money had no real right to claim any of it, they just wanted some. Is it any wonder that Jesus spoke of our misuse and love of money and possessions more than any other sin?

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have” Hebrews 13:5a
