Maturity?

How long have you been a Christian?  A few days?  A few months?  A few years?  A decade or two?  No matter how long it’s been, if you haven’t spent any time in God’s Word, you may still be a mere infant in your faith.  This happened plenty of times during the days of the apostles, and it still happens plenty today!  I hear tons of Christians lament the fact God just doesn’t seem real to them–He doesn’t work in their lives anymore.  Often, the problem is obvious.  God has given them every thing they need, but they just haven’t bothered to use it.  They don’t read the book–or even talk to the author.  Being strong in the faith doesn’t come from osmosis!  You can’t lay your Bible on the coffee table and learn anything from it.  Just the same, you can’t learn much about the Lord by going to church on Christmas and Easter.  That’s why it’s open every day!

If you’ve had problems in this area, why not decide to start TODAY in a really powerful way–Make a commitment to get into God’s Word and learn it!

“We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. Hebrews 5:12

In Christ,
