My Kids!
It seems like people are either scrambling to get more for themselves, or to give more to their kids. I’ll readily admit that I like to provide well for my children and maybe to leave them something when I’m gone, but it’s not my highest priority. Introducing them to the Lord and teaching them to obey His commands is my highest priority. When my wife and I pray for our kids, we’ve never once prayed that they would have material wealth. Yet, we’ve continually prayed for their purity of mind and body, and for them to know and serve the Lord all the days of their lives. If they do that, they’ll never want for anything. And how do we make sure they learn how it’s done? We commit ourselves to the same righteous path and let them watch us day-by-day.
“I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. they are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed.” Psalm 37:25-26
