Some people are great about telling people of their faith and even at leading others to Christ and other great church work. Unfortunately, a number of those same people often seem to have little regard for the “little people” they run into. Believe it or not, the Bible actually casts some serious doubt on whether or not a person who cares little about meeting the needs of those “less fortunate” around them are even Christians. Being “saved” is evidenced by a lot more than talking about your faith–it is “doing” the will of your Father in heaven.
“What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, ‘Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” James 2:14-17
