Old or New?

New Year’s always makes me think of the old and new things in my life. I like antiques, but I don’t like everything to be old. I’m a big fan of things like old tables and cabinets, but when it comes to stuff like dinnerware and toothbrushes, new is the only way to go! When I was a new Christian, I tried to live the Christian life at home and at church, but when I was at work or with my friends, I found it difficult to keep from sinning. One day I realized the hypocrisy of my actions. I stepped into the Christian world once and for all and I’ve never looked back. Some of those old friends have slowly but surely followed me into a relationship with Christ, and I’ve lost some of them as friends too. The friend I have in Christ makes it all worth while, however!

Therefore, if anyone is he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17
