Pesticide!

The things of God are so much higher than the minds of men that we often struggle with His concepts. As Spirit-filled Christians, we begin to understand the will of God as we grow in faith, but we will never completely understand His truths in this life. Here’s an example… God says that what we give, we get back more of. How can that be? The world says just the opposite–What you save up for yourself, what you hoard, you have more of. If you hoard more than someone else, you’re better off than they are! This is foolishness to God. He says if you give love, you will get love in return. If you give time, you get time in return… and if you give money, He will multiply what you have left, and you will not want for anything. Many Christians struggle with this concept as well, keeping their money and thinking they’re ahead for it. Some of us even develop elaborate schemes to rationalize and justify our selfishness. God, however, will not be mocked. He willingly allows the enemy to chip away or even steal what we gain. When we give to His work, however, He does just the opposite–He multiplies what we have left, and binds the enemies efforts to get at it.

“‘Bring your whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.  Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.  I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit,’ says the Lord Almighty.”  Malachi 3:10-11

Scrub Up?

Before I became a Christian, I wanted nothing to do with Christianity or religion!  I just knew I’d have to stop doing all the “fun” things I was doing!  Controlled by the flesh, I had no concept thes

For years now I’ve been learning a little more about Jesus each and every day. I suppose I’ve learned more than the average person, but surely I’ll not understand all of His teachings while I’m in th
