Have you noticed how “wishy-washy” people seem these days? It seems like people are afraid to take a stand until they hear what “everyone else” is doing. For many it’s their political party, for others it’s some other institution, or person, or group. The problem with what “everyone else” thinks is that it seems to change like the wind. Who can say what the “political tide” will be tomorrow, or even later today? What we most desperately need is something to hang on to… something unchanging.
“All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:7-8
