Regret

Have you ever been around someone who’s full of regret? It’s almost unbearable to watch–probably the saddest thing in the world. In the years to come I predict there will be ever increasing amounts of regret as people continue to put their faith in material things, false Gods, and even other people, only to be let down in the end. Regret! Somehow I imagine the pits of hell being jammed full of it.

“Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.” Jonah 2:8

Imagine that. Like some bogus schoolyard trade, people are actually trading the incredible grace of Almighty God for eternal regret.
