Rules, Rules, Rules!

Can you think of a law or a rule that you feel is really ridiculous? Of course you can! I can, too! I think the dumbest rules I ever heard where the ones from my school days. “No chewing gum — you might choke to death!” It was almost like they made the rules just to make sure nobody had any fun! Still, as Christians we’re called to follow these rules — yes, even the dumb ones! Check out the reason why at the end of this quote.

“Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.” 1 Peter 2:13-15
