Shut Up!

If I get myself in trouble with the Lord, it will almost always be due to something I’ve said. My mouth, like most mouths, can get me into more trouble than I care to be in. My prayer is that the Lord continues to teach me in this area, and that just plain “shutting up” will become my first reaction instead of my second. If this is an area of difficulty for you, don’t despair. King David was one of the most righteous men ever to live… he also struggled in this area. Here’s a part of one of his prayers. Like me, you might consider making it one of yours! “Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips. Let not my heart be drawn to what is evil, to take part in wicked deeds with men who are evildoers; let me not eat of their delicacies.” Psalm 141:3-4 In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com
