Silent Night

The words, “Christ the Saviour is born” ring through our ears each Christmas as this widely known song is sung at millions of Christmas parties. The words are sung, but do the people realize? Jesus isn’t just “the Savior,” He is the ONLY Savior! He’s not just the “truth,” He is the ONLY truth… and He’s not just the “light,” He is the ONLY light. Without Him, our depravity and our desperation would be bottomless. Without the birth of Christ that Holy night, we have NOTHING!

Silent night, Holy night, All is calm, all is bright, ‘Round yon Virgin Mother and Child, Holy Infant so tender and mild, Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, Holy night, Shepherds quake at the sight, Glories stream from heaven afar, Heav’nly hosts sing Alleluia; Christ, the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born.

Silent night, Holy night, Son of God, love’s pure light Radiant beams from Thy Holy face, With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.
