Spiritual Gifts

When a person accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the Bible says that they are immediately given at least one spiritual gift.  These spiritual gifts are given for building up the Body of Christ (serving the Church and the other Christians in it), and, ultimately, to glorify our Father in heaven.   This being true, I wonder why so few Christians ever bother to investigate what their spiritual gifts are, much less put them to work in the Body.  I guess it’s kind of like a child leaving a huge present completely wrapped under the Christmas tree months after Christmas has passed.  Sounds ridiculous doesn’t it?  Here are three reasons why I think you need to discover what your spiritual gifts are and put them to work.

 1.  Your spiritual gifts will show you God’s plan for your life!

2.   Your spiritual gifts will show you how valuable you are to the Body of Christ!

3.  Your spiritual gifts will show you the source of fulfillment for your life!

Who’d have ever thought we’d find fulfillment in our efforts to help fulfill others?  Maybe that’s why Christ commanded us to be servants!

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”  1 Corinthians 12:7

Students?

For years now I’ve been learning a little more about Jesus each and every day. I suppose I’ve learned more than the average person, but surely I’ll not understand all of His teachings while I’m in th
