Submission

What ever happened to “submission?”  It seems to me that in any civilized society there has to be submission to… and respect for authority.  Still, these days submission seems very rare.  Mostly I hear people talking about what they “Won’t do!”  I learned submission from my parents.  It wasn’t pretty, but I learned it!  Later, it was reinforced in my nearly 20 years in the military… and I think it’s helped me with my walk with Christ.

“Slaves [or workers of today], obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.”  Ephesians 6:5
