Temper, Temper!

Welcome to James Kilby dot com

James 1:19 : “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” James 1:19 In this day and age, a person who’s going to make any kind of impact in the business world needs to be outspoken, outgoing, and possibly even outrageous. I spent more than 20 years in the world’s workforce, and I can tell you that it was a rare moment indeed when a quiet person was promoted. Instead, those who felt comfortable shamelessly touting their own accomplishments, sacrificing their children for their jobs, and even using fits of anger, sex, corruption and foul language seemed to be the first rewarded for their actions. Whether we get the promotions, change the world, or even get ridiculed for chasing “heavenly rewards,” Christians are called to be counter culture, if not radically different. Quiet, patient endurance is our road–love is our main ingredient. “Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city.” Proverbs 16:32 “When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.” 1 Peter 2:23 In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com
