That’s Spoiled!

What are your dreams for the future? Have you thought about what you’re going to do with your life? What kind of job are you doing in your dreams? What kind of house do you live in? What type of car do you drive? Do your children go to private school? Are they wearing the “perfect” designer clothes? As silly as this may sound, our whole nation seems to be working for the bigger house, the faster car, and on and on and on! I wonder, where does it stop? And where does God come in? When God calls us (Christians) to be counter-culture, I believe that includes our pursuit of personal wealth (beyond that which will reasonably provide for our children and our children’s children). I’ve heard it said that you can immediately tell what a person’s priorities are by watching where they spend their time, and then by taking a quick look through their checkbook to see where they spend their money. So what are you working for? Do your priorities fit God’s plans for you? “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.” John 6:27 In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com
