The Grass is Always Greener . . .

Isaiah is one of my favorite books of the Bible. There is so much incredible prophecy — such God-given insight into coming events that it’s truly shocking. Most of this prophecy comes later in this lengthy book. Today, I want to make a short summary of the first 39 chapters: Forgive the Kilby paraphrase:

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence!

These people had Yaweh as their God, but they endlessly wondered how it would be to have someone else’s god as their god. Stupid huh? Kinda like having complete forgiveness in Jesus Christ but trying helplessly to make it into heaven without giving your life over to anybody!

In Christ,
