Where is God in times of trouble? He’s where He’s always been–on His throne. God is not surprised by the evil and the depravity of man. Nothing we can do comes as any surprise to Him. The evil we’re capable of is our own doing, however. When mankind aligned himself with Satan, sinful hearts were the result. For those who follow Christ, we need to remember that sometimes God calms the storm, but most of the time He lets the storm rage on and, instead, calms the followers.
“Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” Psalm 9:10
