Wealth and Friends?

What do you desire more: strong, intimate and meaningful relationships or material wealth? As strange as it may seem to society today, the desires for both are mutually exclusive. As we strive for more and more material wealth and comfort, our relationships with one another and with God are always the first casualties. It is true that some who have great wealth also have great personal relationships, but it is never true that someone who deeply desires more and more wealth is close with the Lord or has any genuine friends. “What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You want something but don’t get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” James 4:1-3 In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com
