Does anyone know exactly what faith is? Maybe a good place to start is by asking what faith is not! We know that faith is not hope. The Apostle Paul clearly separates faith, hope, and love as different things in his most quoted writing to the Corinthians (1 Cor 13:13). If faith is not hope, then what is it? I believe that faith is a decision… a simple “childlike” decision, e.g., I have heard the message and believe that Jesus is the Christ of the Old Testament. I have faith that He alone can save me.
