How many times have you heard Christians remark that they can worship God just as well at home as they can at church? My response is usually something like, “Sure you can, but do you?” I know the church is full of problems… that’s because it’s full of people — and people are sinners! Still, God’s word commands us to continue to meet together with other Christians. No man (or woman) is an island!
“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25
Two more thoughts on this subject before I close:
1. If you’re such a strong Christian that you don’t need church, then you should go anyway and help those who aren’t so strong.
2. When you’re satisfied with your walk with Christ, your Christian growth stops. And if you’re not growing you’re slipping back toward the Devil.
