Why Did You Do That?

How is it that things “just happen?” Far too many times I’ve heard people who’ve been strong Christians at one point in their lives and are now caught in sin make such statements. “It just happened,” seems like such a cop-out to me. Things don’t just happen. Our heavenly Father tells us we will find Him when we seek Him with our “whole heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). It seems to reason that a heart that is not seeking God, will not find Him. Instead, it will find folly. Simply put, either we pursue God with our hearts, or our hearts will be lured down sinful roads. When things start to “just happen” in our lives, we can be sure our hearts are not seeking Him. Either we are pre-occupied with God, or we’ll begin to be pre-occupied with something else. “He did evil because he had not set his heart on seeking the Lord.” 2 Chronicles 12:14 In Christ, PastorJimKilby @Kilbin8er Jim@JamesKilby.com
