How’s your joy? Are you completely comfortable with God’s ability to control your destiny for both your good and His? Such a belief would no doubt elicit great faith on your part–knowing God has your back has that effect. But few ever have complete joy in this life. Few find the faith and the power that come with truly trusting God. And why? Because few really “love” the Lord. Love for God is far more than wonderful feelings toward Him. Love is absolute commitment to His Word, to His Work, and to Him. Loving the Lord means hating evil and striking out against it. Joy, true joy, only comes when you present Him with your whole life and trust Him implicitly.
“Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Light is shed upon the righteous and joy on the upright in heart.” Psalm 97:10-11
