It’s a new day. With a new day comes new challenges, new tests of faith, new aggravations, and probably a million other things we aren’t expecting. If this sounds a little heavy for an early morning devotional, just know that we get something else “new” even before we take on the new day. God’s mercies (or compassions) are new every morning and His faithfulness never fails, even when we doubt!
“Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” Lamentations 3:21-24
