We live in a very organized and predictable world. Our heavenly Father has given us a world where things like mathematics and physics are logical and unchanging. With that said, here’s a simple truth that falls in line with it: When you turn away from something, you turn toward something else. If you think about it in the context of a relationship with our Creator, it rings true there as well. God will never force us to turn toward Him. In fact, He stands at the door waiting, but He gives us freedom to turn either way we choose… unfortunately for us, if we choose to turn away from Him, He will grant our desires… Eternally!
“… Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off–for all whom the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2:38-39
