“But, seek first his kingdom…” Mathew 6:33a
So, is that what you seek FIRST? I don’t know about you, but even as a minister, I have a hard time stopping all MY activity and focusing on what is unseen! God, in this simple exhortation, gave us the answer to all happiness, all joy, and all meaningfulness in this life and the next. I’ve heard it said in many versions, but “Seek ye first the kingdom of God” is probably the most popular of all. I love the incredible simplicity of it–and I can only imagine just how much Satan wants us to do anything but! No matter what version you’ve heard it in, or even memorized it in, the question remains, will you resist the devil, and all the temptations of your heart and this life? Or better put, will you seek FIRST the kingdom of God?
