I’m an anxious guy! I know the Scriptures tell me not to be anxious about anything, but I still struggle with it. At its core, this is a faith issue for me (or should I say a “lack of faith issue”). Sure, I “say” I believe everything the Bible says, but “believing” demands action. The lack of action in the face of such belief denotes a lack of faith. This is the essence of the Christian message. Those who believe in Jesus Christ will be saved… Jesus has presented the sacrifice, but your belief will lead to action! As the book of James puts it, “faith without deeds is dead.” (James 2:24). I’ve got some work to do in the area of trusting the Lord and not being anxious. Just like a “saving faith,” my “belief” must lead me to action or it’s not belief at all.
“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:16
