I’ve always been a guy who likes to be in control of things. Maybe it’s being the oldest child or something, but for me, not being in control of things is kind of like going 200 miles an hour in a car, and being on the passenger side! Giving your life to Christ, however, is the opposite of being in control. For me, and maybe for you too, that is a very uncomfortable feeling. Through time though, Jesus has proven again and again that He knows what’s best for my life, and what’s best for the ministry He’s given me. Slowly (very slowly), I’ve begun to trust him and to blindly walk in faith. Think about it for a minute… doesn’t “giving one’s life to Christ” intuitively suggest that you will no longer be in control of it? Then why are many so-called “Christians” still steering their every movement? And… since we’re on the subject, truth be told, who’s in control of your life? Do you really know better than Him?
